How can you train your voice to sing better?
What are some tips to make your voice sing better?
I would get a tuner so you could check to see if you’re on the right note/ in the right key. Singing is tricky. Record yourself and make improvements.

Find a voice teacher. Join a choir. I practice every morning and night on my piano and match my voice, that way your voice can practice going up and down and sounding real good. You are getting advice from the lead girl in every play I am in. Lead actress and singer! Tons of solo in my choir life when I was younger too!

let me tell you what i know. The throat is like a muscle. if you sing for over an hour. it is probably that you will have a sour voice next morning. however, if you train more often, this sour voice becomes permenant and it becomes your voice. which by the way means a good quality voice. it is important to seek all possible sounds and tones.

Well, I also sing…the best things you can do:
–Use it!!
Like someone said above…"the throat is a muscle"…and it is. How do you strengthen muscles? You work them out. You want to be sure not to strain muscles so you don’t lift more than you can, etc, so as not to strain or tear the muscle. With singing, you want to gradually build your voice up. You do warmups and try to breath and use your diaphragm and try to smooth your voice out. When singing, open up your entire body, breath into your feet, and try to bring out your tone through the mask of your face. Don’t strain, train. If you cannot hit a note, or if your voice cracks…do not force it. Gently warm your voice up and smooth it out. Gently push it, but do not force it. In time, like learning to do splits, you will develop a smoother richer tone, with more flexibility and more range. Keep at it!

That is why is really important to find the right voice teacher. Be careful of people who call them selves voice teachers and they don’t have any idea about voice technique. Always ask for a voice teacher background and studies he/she has. That is important.
You can hurt your vocal chords trying to practice by your self, but also a bad teacher can cause a serious damage in your vocal chords because they are not able to teach a healthy technique. Just be careful.

Training is part of the key to good singing..but it is also important to drink plenty of water,to avoid getting the throat parched dry. Avoid smoking and alcohol also. Take good supply of Vitamin C daily to avoid catching colds as that may affect the throat and hence also the voice’s ability to sing. Do singing practise daily. Before going to bed, also gargle your throat with hot, salted water…it makes for a good throat exercise!
You may also opt for voice modulation classes which will teach you how to handle your breath while singing…So that when you sing, your breath is not heard. This takes time and practice.
Definitely avoid shouting loudly..unless it comes with your training..lolz..!!!
Hope this helps! Good Luck in your endeavours.
